My Helicopters    Modelclubs    Pictures & videos

After I met Lee in the summer 2005 I have slowly got into RC flying. Lee has been flying for a few years now and have had a few RC helicopters. Luckily he is very patient and he has been teaching me to hover on his Raptor and T-Rex helicopters. I have also had a go on his plane (limbo dancer) with out any great success... I might stick to the helicopters for now!

My first RC helicopter was a Hirobo Lama - Christmas present in 2005. It is a great, little and very forgiving helicopter. Although my mums flowers might think something else... They lost the "battle" with it when I flew it the first time! If you loose orientation you simply stop giving any inputs and it will stop moving and maintain a hover (if it is trimmed correctly). I have flown it indoor and have been practicing some nose in flying.

I have just got my second helicopter (again a Christmas present - now in 2006). It is a T-Rex 450SA. So now I really have to concentrate! This is a fully 3D capable helicopter so there will be no limits for the next many flights - except for the pilot...! I am looking forward for some better weather so we can get out flying.

My last helicopter is a T-Rex 600N. I will soon write some more info about. For now take a look on youtube to se me building it.

Ribe Model Flying Club
Lee and I joined Ribe Model Flying Club in 2006. It is a great club with quite a few helicopter pilots. We have a nice flying site outside Ribe. A place we spend a lot of hours in 2006. During the winter we fly indoor in Esbjerg.

Helderse Model Club
Lee and I will be/are joining the local model club in Den Helder. The club fly at the airport when there are no full size helicopters flying. We have still not been flying our models there yet, but look forward to move to Den Helder and get the toys out in some fresh air again.
