Flying with PPL Students can be quite interesting. First of all because you can se how they learn from flight to flight. In the beginning you have to be on the controls at all time. Later you just have to guard the controls in specific maneuvers. Second, because they sometimes do something they are not supposed to do, and you have to take controls and get back to where you are supposed to be!

I have always enjoined to fly with my PPL students. They were all three pretty smart guys which made it easy to be their instructor. First time you let on of your students fly solo, I think you might be more nervous than the solo student!

  • Corey Greene (from US) was my very first student I thought how to fly. He started his PPL 9 February 2004 and passed his PPL checkride in April 2004.
  • Johnny Leivann (from Norway) was my second PPL student. He started his PPL in September 2004 and passed his PPL checkride in December 2004.
  • Craig Pelkola (from US) was my last PPL student. Unfortunately I were unable to finish him up as my visa expired. He went solo when I did my last flight as an instructor in March 2005.
