Lee and I were due to go to Helisim in Marigane, France in the middle of
August. We requested a week of holiday straight after the three days in the sim,
and rather than flying back to the Netherlands, we stayed in the south of France
for a week. We hired a car and drove to Castellane, which is 3 hours drive from Marseille.
We stayed at Camping International.
The pictures below are from our walk in the canyon of the Verdon.
Warning to hikers... at the end of our trip we saw this warning to hikers walking the trip the opposite way! We started the walk at La Maline, about 950 meters above msl. We were not the only ones doing the walk... Time for a little rest and some water. It was 35 degrees when we came back to our car after 6 hours of walking Some places where steeper than others
