15 December 2006: Infrared picture of the EC155 on Siri
You can see how the hot exhaust air is blown down by the rotor
downwash and aft by the wind. Also notice the heat produced by the main
rotor blades. Pretty smart picture!!

After the type rating course in France I
did a few flights in the helicopter, practicing take offs and landings
on a helideck, before I was allowed to fly with passengers.
The pictures are taken after my first
flight in the real helicopter. The simulator is really realistic and
flying the real helicopter is no problem after having done the whole
type rating in the simulator.
